Noel and Sally – Co Kildare, Ireland

We greatly enjoyed our stay-the Old Stables is so well equipped that it feels like a h ome. The walking, eating and relaxation were what we came for and we certainly found it here. Many thanks to Lis and Raphaela – and the menagerie of dogs and cats that made us homesick for our own

Lynne and Carl – Manchester

We would love to return to Jimena, will recommend The Old Stables to friends. Very Idyllic and private; beautiful spot to unwind. Would recommend eating out at the bar/restaurant run by ‘Louis’, which has no name on the door. Floppy (the black cocker spaniel 0 nice meeting you

Family Keuleers – Belgium

We enjoyed our 2 weeks a lot, together with our 2 girls. Lots of opportunities to go for a beautiful walk in the mountains. We did several, although the temperature was very high: the kids loved it. Big thank you for Ossa, for being such an adorable playmate for the kids!

Dave and Sarah, the new Mr. and Mrs. Maisy Kent

A fantastically hot, cloudless blue sky week! We are heading off to various cities of Andalucia, so it has been nice this week to not see anyone, or hear anyone! The fact that you cannot see a road or anything approaching a settlement from the pool says it all. Added to this, if you walk up the hill, the views from the ridge are spectacular! the wildlife in general – plentiful; the brilliant twinkling stars at night make you feel on top of the world. In a word, this week has been – tranquil. A big thank you to Ossa for maintaining security in the grounds, and checking that we returned home safe of an evening (Ossa the dog)

Argondizza July 2011

The view was glorious and it defined the splendor of Spain to myself and my family. We had visited Spain three times beforef:we have always loved the climate and the friendliness of the Spanish people, but this visit was the best in terms of the ambience of the accommodation and the perfect blend of Rustic charm with and perfect accessibility to shops, etc. I would be happy to recommend Las Limas to anyone who wants to experience the charm of Spain first hand whilst living comfortably in a charming and evocative setting. Being close to Granada  and other places was a great addition to the holiday and it was easy to travel to all places. The home was clean and tidy with friendly and helpful people to assure us of a restful and memorable holiday. My family and I thank you. Adios!

Leo Ogink-9th to 23rd July 2011

Sitting on the balcony of Europe we can see donkey’s in a meadow, and the last remains of the British Empire, Gibraltar. Where could you find this!!! Even with a broken leg you can have a lovely time here. We thank Lis for her kindness

Laura Sacandy- USA

We fell in love with the Old Stables Cottage.  It was cozy, charming and very peaceful and private.  Simply but very comfortably furnished, we were delighted to return each night after a full day of activities.  We highly recommend Las Limas to those wishing to experience rural Andalucia and yet be near many local areas of interest.  We left a few days ago and miss it already.

Just wanted to email to say Thank You so much for helping us find Las Limas. Wow – what a special place to stay. So relaxing, the perfect place to unwind. Spectacular views and wildlife in abundance, we swam, we BBQ’d, we read and played games, we day tripped to Jimena, Cadiz, Tarifa, Gaucin, Castellar de la Frontera, we enjoyed amazing food at La Estacion (an absolute MUST) as well as El Anon, Pastor II and home cooked traditional style with the help of the butcher in town. We giggled the nights away watching bats, gecko’s and reading the guide book with everyone’s helpful additions. We would love to come back and will definitely be recommending Las Limas to everyone we know.

Thanks again. Debbie and David.
